CRC Overhead Door Co. is pleased to be able to offer a Sprayed Foam Insulation service to our clientele.

What is Sprayed Foam Insulation?
"Sprayed Foam" is used as an insulating and air sealing product. There are 2 types - "Open cell" and "Closed cell" (Polyurethane). Closed cell typically has a higher R-value.

Benefits to Sprayed Foam Insulation
Sprayed foam Insulation does not shrink, sag, and settle or bio-degrade. By acting as an air barrier, spray foam insulation provides insulating and air sealing in one step. Most foam products have a higher R-value per inch than fiberglass batt insulation. This increases energy efficiency by allowing down sizing of hearing and cooling system equipment.

Despite the fact that the initial cost of Sprayed Foam is more than traditional insulation, it is extremely cost competitive because it eliminates the steps for air-tightness detailing (caulking, house wrap, vapor barrier) and also reduces construction time. In addition, Sprayed Foam Insulation is environmentally friendly, as it contains no HCFCs- that are harmful to the ozone layer.

So, if you would like Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation to be part of your construction, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to discuss your needs.
